Can DANTE model the formation of carbides during carburizing of higher alloy steels?

Yes. Once the saturation of carbon in austenite is reached, carbides will begin to form and grow. The carbides will then dissolve if the carbon potential on the surface is removed. If the carbides grow too large, then they will not dissolve. When the carbides dissolve, they provide an additional source of carbon for diffusion.
